Tempe Junior Crew Ergathon/Rower Challenge supporting David Glasser Foundation
September 22nd from 9 am to 12 noon
1828 E. University Dr., #1, Tempe, AZ 85281
What is the Ergathon/Rower Challenge?
There are two parts… the Ergathon (aka Power Hour) and the Rower Challenge.
Ergathon (aka Power Hour)
The Power Hour is similar to a fun run. Rowers will row as many meters as they can in 60 minutes. This year, we are opening up this portion to the public. You can join our TJC rowers in finding people to support you for the Power Hour and they can donate by making a flat donation (regardless of how many meters are rowed) or they can donate for every 1,000 meters rowed. We are also allowing the Power Hour to be completed by an individual or by teams of up to four rowers. If you are doing a team relay, you can make as many transitions as you’d like to row as many meters as possible as a team.
If you want to participate in the Power Hour, click here to download the 2018-TJC-Power-Hour-Fundraiser-Sheet or contact Rob Sandoval by emailing him at email@example.com with “TJC Power Hour Fundraiser Sheet” in the subject line. Once you have the fundraising sheet, start getting donations. People can pay in cash, by check or online. Please bring in completed fundraising sheets and donations collected to the even on September 22nd and we would appreciate to receive all donations by September 29th.
Make checks payable to: Tempe Junior Crew, P.O. Box 857, Tempe, AZ 85281
Pay online using PayPal (see link above) and remember to include the rower’s name associated with the donation in the “Special Instructions to Seller” box.

What does your money support?
TJC is Arizona’s premier co-ed junior rowing program. We are a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) organization established for young men and women (13-18) who row on Tempe Town Lake. TJC rowers have competed successfully at local, regional, national and international levels. Alumni often continue to row competitively in college, some earning scholarships. Our mission is: Using Teamwork to develop excellence in all parts of life through the sport of rowing.
David Glasser was a Phoenix Police Officer who was killed in the line of duty on May 19, 2016. He chose to become a Police Officer because he loved people and he wanted to be part of the Thin Blue Line which protects the innocent from those who prey on the innocent. He helped make our community safer for you and for me. This foundation has been created to continue the work he started – making a positive difference in our community. “Love You”
The David Glasser Foundation exists to provide opportunities for Law Enforcement Officers and the people they serve to connect and learn through community events and resources. Their vision is to lead the way in promoting positive relationships between Law Enforcement Officers and the communities they serve.
