TJC encourages motivated rowers and their parents to explore additional competitive opportunities and/or regattas as appropriate (examples: USRowing ID camps, development camps, recruiting camps, National Championship Regatta–for qualifiers, Head of the Charles, etc.). Many are posted on the USRowing website.
These opportunities, however, are “extra” — they fall outside the purview of the team organizers, fees, and regular season. Participating in any of them requires interested rower(s) and their parent(s) to coordinate ALL travel, lodging, and registration logistics, arrange for an adult chaperone for the participating rower(s), AND foot the entire bill for event fees, which can include (if a coach’s presence is required), the costs of travel/lodging for at least one TJC coach, and renting and/or trailering boats/equipment.
